Elephants Crossing: Luxury safari lodge with private plunge pools in Welgevonden Game Reserve
Accommodation & Grounds
Elephants Crossing offers accommodation in luxury tents with private plunge pools, as well as the Bush Villa with two bedrooms and a deck with plunge pool. The property has an outdoor swimming pool, sun loungers, and sun umbrellas for guest use. Each unit has a private bathroom with bathrobes and free toiletries, and daily housekeeping is included.
Dining & Culinary
The on-site restaurant serves a buffet, continental, and Full English/Irish breakfast each morning. Chef Jones prepares three-course dinners and lunch, with special diet menus available on request. BBQ facilities, a bar with wine and champagne, and packed lunches for game drives are also provided.
Game Drives & Activities
Two game drives per day in open vehicles are included, led by guides Herbert and Jacob who have deep knowledge of the reserve. The Welgevonden Game Reserve is home to the Big Five, and elephants frequently visit the lodge to drink from guest plunge pools. Walking tours and board games are available for additional activities.
Wellness & Relaxation
Massage treatments are available, including back, couples, foot, full body, hand, head, and neck massages. The outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers offer relaxation between game drives. Couples massages can be arranged in the guest tents or a dedicated area.
Family-Friendly Services
Babysitting and child services are offered, along with board games and puzzles for younger guests. The lodge provides family rooms and kids' meals, and the Bush Villa accommodates families in two separate bedrooms. Non-smoking rooms and a designated smoking area are available throughout the property.
